Autumn Favourites

Hiya guys,

I've kinda been gone a month because of school and that but I hope to be a bit more consistent with the posts from now on. So I thought I would do an autumn/fall favourites post, nothing too fancy as its 12pm right now but yeah here we go....

1. Being able to wear dark coloured eyeshadows and lipsticks. I much prefer wearing darker make up so when autumn comes it makes me super happy as I can wear deep reds and purple-ish colours without looking completely ridiculous.

2. The colours! Carrying on from no.1, I love the fiery colours from all the leaves changing colour. Even though the leaves are dying they do it in a beautiful way yanno haha.

3. Snugly nights in. There is nothing more I like than wrapping myself up in my duvet and watching a little bit of gossip girl or the vampire diaries. Oooh lovely!

4. The candles! I'm one of those candle obsessed people (sorry not sorry) and I find that the smells from the autumn and winter candles are waaay better than the spring and summer ones however this might just be due to taste.

5. Halloween, of course! I love dressing up and seeing everyone else dressed up at halloween it's just fab haha :)

So those are my favourite things, what are yours? Do you agree or disagree with some of these things? Tell me in the comments below!

Lots of love,

Abbie xx

NYX product review

Hey guys!

So I recently purchased two products from the makeup company NYX, I have never purchased from them before but I thought I should give them a try. I found out NYX through the videos of a youtuber named Adelaine (or c0ok1emonster on you tube).

I bought "The curve" eyeliner and a soft lip matte cream shown below

"The curve" eyeliner

To start I want to say that the eyeliner is not the cheapest of eyeliners coming to £12 altogether. But so far through using it, I know that it is definitely worth it. The shape of it is so convenient, even when I knew my hand was shaking I could produce a fine line across my eyeline. Although I found it easier to use in my dominant hand which is expected, it was still usable on my non-dominant. The only downside of the shape is the fact that it is difficult to stand alone but this is not an important feature.

The colour comes out a jet black, i've found before when buying eyeliners that the black is not as rich and pigmented as I would of wanted so I was very pleased when this eyeliner succeed with a deep black colour. Overall i'm loving this product due to how easy it was to use.

Soft matte lip cream

The other product I purchased was a "soft matte lip cream" in the colour "monte carlo". On the bottle the colour certainly looks very impressive and the photo doesn't quite show it to it's full glory. The bottle shows a really deep red however when I first applied it the red wasn't really the red shown on the bottle. I applied a second layer and the red seemed slightly more deeper but still not quite the colour promised but luckily I still really liked it. The brush made the lip cream quite difficult to apply and seeing as i'm already quite bad at applying lip products, it didnt really help.

I tested how well it would stay on through drinking a cup of water and most of it stayed on except the lip cream applied on the inside of the lip which removed quite easily but I guess this is expected. Overall, love the colour but the shape of brush was quite awkward to use.

The red does look slightly more deeper in real life than on this photo.

Ooh fancy new blog

Hola my friends!

After time of contemplating whether it was a good idea or not, I finally decided to start a blog.

I hope to bring you reviews, hauls, complaints (about everything) and all round silly things that have recently happened in my life. But its not all about me, i'd like to involve all you, my readers in my blog in many as many ways as possible. I guess we could call it a communal blog...actually...lets not...that word makes me think of sharing a bathroom with 50 year old men...not at the same time but like...BRAIN STOP. OK, once you have that image out of your head, think of a blog where we can all can talk about things we share in common...kind of like a club. YES CLUB THAT'S THE IDEA I WAS TRYING TO GET ACROSS.

So I guess here is your welcome to my "CLUB".

It hasn't quite got a name yet but i'm sure it will do soon!

Peace, love, hugs....

ABBIE

ps. I apologise for all the ellipses, I will try and restrain myself in the future
pps. I will also try and restrain from using the word "communal" ever again
